Look at the invisible world / 보이지 않는 세계를 바라보라

 

Remember your friends who are out of sight.

They serve me and serve those whom they love.

But because their duties are so diverse and numerous,

I will not see them as men did not see the angels (Matt.

 

How strange it is that you are rushing to the friends of the land

who help you in extremely limited ways,

serving you better, understanding, protecting, planning for you,

neglecting your eager friends!

 

The more you remember them and live in an invisible world,

the lighter your four steps will be when that world comes.

Looking at the invisible eternal life,

the pains and difficulties in this world now seem much less overbearing.

As you learn to know me,

you will attract my country,

and you will draw close to your invisible friends there.

보이지 않는 곳에 있는 네 친구들을 기억하라.

그들은 나를 섬기고 자기들이 사랑하는 사람들을 섬기느니라.

그러나 그들의 직무가 실로 다양하고 많으므로,

내가 인간의 몸을 입고 땅에 있을 때

광야에서 나의 시중을 들었던 천사들(마4:11, 막1:13)을

사람들이 보지 못했던 것처럼 그들을 보지 못하리라.

 

네가 지극히 제한된 방식으로

너를 돕는 땅의 친구들에게는 급히 달려가면서 너를 더 잘 섬기고,

이해하고, 보호하고,

너를 위해 계획을 세우고,

나에게 간절히 청하는 친구들을 소홀히 대하다니 참으로 이상하구나!

 

그들을 기억하면서 보이지 않는 세계에서 살아갈수록,

그 세계가 임할 때 네 걸음이 훨씬 가벼워지리라.

보이지 않는 영원한 삶을 바라볼 때

지금 이 세상의 고통과 어려움이 훨씬 덜 위압적으로 보이리라.

나를 아는 법을 배울 때 내 나라를 끌어당길 것이며,

그곳에 있는 보이지 않는 친구들과도 가까워지리라.
