Be loyal to small things  작은 일에 충성하라

 

"저희가 아버지의 것이었는데 내게 주셨으며 저희는 아버지의 말씀을 지키었나이다"(요17:6)

네가 나 때문에 하나님께 감사하는 것처럼 나 또한 너를 선물로 주신 하나님께 감사한다는 것을 기억하라. 내가 땅에서 고뇌했을 때, 그 고통 가운데서도 오싹한 기쁨의 전율을 맛보았느니라. 내 말대로 행한 영혼, 아버지께서 내게 주신 영혼들을 생각했기 때문이었노라.

내가 고뇌할 당시에는 그렇지 않았지만, 그들은 나중에 내 이름으로, 내 이름을 위해 대단한 일을 행했느니라. 단지 그들은 내 말을 듣는 데서 그치지 않고 일상에서 행했노라.

너도 그들처럼 그저 신실하게 섬김으로 나를 기쁘게 할 수 있으니 작은 일에 충성하라. 아무리 작은 일이라도 내가 말한대로 행하라.

☘ 지극히 작은 것에 충성된 자는 큰 것에도 충성되고, 지극히 작은 것에 불의한 자는 큰 것에도 불의하니라(눅16:10)

"We belonged to your father, and you gave it to me, and they kept your word" (John 17:6)

Remember, just as you thank God for me, I also thank God for giving you a gift. When I was in agony on earth, I tasted the thrill of thrilling joy even in the midst of it. It was because I thought of the souls that did what I said, the souls that the Father gave me.

Not at the time of my agony, but they later did a great job in my name and for my name. They didn't just listen to me, they did it in everyday life.

You, like them, can please me simply by serving faithfully, so be loyal to the little things. No matter how small, do what I said.
